Genesis 2:9-14  

Ideas discussed in this podcast episode include: This Bible adventure podcast, studying the book of Genesis, starts with a discussion about the trees of Eden and ends with a discussion on the rivers out of Eden. The first study topic is all about the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Scott goes deep looking into the words and Hebrew pictures for the trees and Brad wonders what it would be like to walk through the garden and lay sight on the trees. Scott shares that he has done more study on Hebrew word pictures and they go even deeper than he thought. A discussion on how God wants us to know about Him and know Him on a personal level is had and that leads Brad to make the conclusion that we should all work on our relationship with God so more can be revealed. Scott shares possible meanings for the word “good” and Brad has his mind blown. Brad returns the favor and blows Scott’s mind with possible usages for the word “tree”, which paints an interesting picture of Jesus being a carpenter. Scott continues with a word study on the word “evil” and shares more interesting word pictures. It all comes down to a word study and more awesome Hebrew word pictures all about the four rivers coming out of Eden and it paints the whole story of God’s plans for us.
