Genesis 2:5-8

Ideas discussed in this podcast episode include: “Not About Us” continues this Genesis Bible study adventure with this 8th podcast. Scott shares how this study is one he started a few years back and had to start over for the podcast recently, but when he did, he was excited by all the new and fresh information that came to him. The study starts with a discussion on seed and the plants and if everything was already in place when God commanded it to come forth. Scott shares the Hebrew origins for the word “rain” and gives us a possible word picture. The conversation continues into a discussion of how Satan twist all that God makes good. Back to rain, Scott challenges the idea of when it first rained upon the earth. The word “mist” is investigated, and Scott’s makes a connection about man and how we are meant to pour God’s spirit on the Earth, and we are designed to be the path to God. More detail is given about the creation of man from the dust of the earth. The breath of life is discussed, and Scott breaks down the word breathe and the word breath. Scott finishes this study discussing the Garden of Eden and the importance of its placement East of man’s creation and dig’s deeper into the words “Eden”, “planted” and “garden”.
